I still think it looks good. Maybe the problem with it, though, is that you'd probably never guess that they're supposed to be Lemmings.

Can I post another bad box art?
I guess it's not even art, it's just some person and some horse. This was another game EGM wouldn't review because it wasn't really a game. |

The use of photography on game covers sure has taken a far fall since IRONSWORD.

Yeah, that's just a random photo.

Magical Yard Gnome wrote:You know, this is way after the fact, but I do kind of like the original Mega Man boxart. It's ugly as fuck, but honestly the nuttiness of how far off it is from the actual character is kind of appealing to me. He has a face like "Uh, hey kids. I think I'm really gonna need your help on this one." It also has the classic Capcom grid border, which is always a plus. |

Mega Man has the similar pained "get me out of this" expression to Donkey Kong here

The man in that picture is a human captured by an alien race. They needed to construct an earth-like habitat for him, but the only thing they knew about how
Earth people lived was our Mega Man 1 videogame.

I wonder if that Mega Man artwork was inspired by Tron.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for the use of models. The PC version of Might & Magic used part of the map for its cover art. That's my favorite all-time videogame map. |

I used to have a sticker that had the entire full version of this artwork. Seeing it on this game's box almost made me want to buy it.

Konami had a lot of great box art in the 8 and 16-bit eras.
The special edition version (which I actually own) isn't half-bad either.
The Might & Magic series has some excellent box art.

This isn't one that is a favorite of mine, but I had to point it out because of how funny it is...
I like how that guy looks just slightly annoyed that a dragon is flying over him. And the dragon itself looks bored. |

Holy cow @ the Super Famicom Prince of Persia art!
I happened upon this in one of my searches, and I've never heard of it before, but that's the closest anything's come to making me want a Wii game. |

It's supposed to be pretty good, but sales were dismal.

I'm such a sellout. I got Zach & Wiki at Best Buy for $20, though I don't own a Wii yet. |

For a fairly recent (ha, not really; when SMB was this old, Star Fox was out) game
